Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how RevAddr ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use revaddr.com, the interactive demo, and the reverse-geocoding API (the "Service").

This policy is a practical template for a small SaaS API. Have a privacy attorney review it for your entity, jurisdictions (including GDPR/CCPA if you target those users), and subprocessors you actually use.

1. Who we are

Operator contact: support@revaddr.com ยท Website: revaddr.com

2. Information we collect

2.1 You provide

  • Account email and optional display name
  • Support messages and other communications
  • Payment details if you purchase Credits or plans (processed by our payment provider; we typically do not store full card numbers)

2.2 Collected automatically

  • API usage metadata: timestamps, endpoints, status codes, Unit consumption, API key identifiers
  • Approximate network information: IP address, user agent, referrer (for security, rate limits, fraud prevention, and diagnostics)
  • Coordinates and related parameters you submit for reverse geocoding
  • Website and demo interactions needed to operate the Service (including rate limiting of public demo access)

2.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We may use essential cookies or local storage for security, preferences, or load balancing. We do not sell personal information. If we add analytics cookies, we will update this policy.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Authenticate accounts, issue API keys, and apply rate limits and fraud controls
  • Bill for Units/Credits, prevent abuse of free tiers, and enforce our Terms
  • Send transactional email (verification links, security notices, material service notices)
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with law and protect rights, safety, and security

We do not use your reverse-geocode coordinates to build advertising profiles or sell location dossiers to data brokers.

4. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, logging) under contractual obligations to process data for us
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety
  • Successors in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy or successor notice

We do not sell your personal information for money.

5. Retention

We retain account, billing, and usage records as needed to operate the Service, enforce Terms, resolve disputes, and meet legal and tax obligations. Coordinate query logs may be retained for a limited period for abuse detection and debugging, then deleted or aggregated. You may request deletion of account personal data subject to legal retention requirements.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a cloud API service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Protect your API keys; treat them as secrets.

7. International users

The Service may be hosted in the United States. If you access it from another country, you understand your information may be processed in the U.S. and other locations where we or our providers operate.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe we have done so.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email support@revaddr.com with the subject line "Privacy request." We may need to verify your identity.

You may opt out of non-essential marketing email (we primarily send transactional mail). You cannot opt out of emails required to operate your account (e.g. verification, security).

10. Third-party links and data sources

The Service may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own. Underlying geodata may incorporate public and open datasets; those sources are not under our exclusive control.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version with a revised date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or site notice when appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
